from application to adoption
Howdy Ya’ll…Meet Billy & Bob! These 3 year old Nigerian Dwarf brothers are fixin to steal your heart with their blue eyes, caramel coloring, and sweet personalities. We reckon these fellas would enjoy a farm family willing to be patient with them since they are a little shy at first, but they will think you’re the bees knees if you bring them some carrots or animal crackers!
Both Billy and Bob are wethered (castrated), current on vaccinations, dewormed, and recently had hoof trims. They are very bonded and will only be adopted together.
If you would love to add two country boys to your family, submit an adoption application for Billy and Bob!
No need to go on a mighty quest to find the next additions to your farm, meet Thorin, Fili, and Kili! Although a little shy at first, in typical dwarf style, food easily wins these sweet boys over and in no time they will be coming right up for pets and scratches. They are up to the task of eating down your brush and helping reclaim your acreage for pastures! They would also be just as happy in a goat yard with a little room to run. These goats have lived happily with livestock guardian dogs.
All are castrated/wethered, current on vaccinations, dewormed with a negative fecal, and have had hoof trims recently. None of the boys have any health issues. They are only being adopted together and their combined adoption fee is $300.
If you are interested in adding this trio of handsome dwarves, I mean goats, to your family submit an adoption application for Thorin, Fili and Kili!

WHAT TYPES OF ANIMALS DO YOU HAVE FOR ADOPTION?
We take in many different types of livestock and equines, such as donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, chickens, and kittens.
DO ANIMALS RECEIVE ANY VET CARE BEFORE ADOPTION?
Yes, all animals are fully vetted upon arriving at Fabled Farm. They will receive any needed vaccinations, deworming, gelding (male farm animal), spay/neuter and microchip(cats), teeth, and hoof care prior to being available for adoption.
WHY DO YOU REQUIRE ANY FEMALE ANIMALS TO GO TO HOMES WITH ONLY OTHER FEMALES OR GELDED MALES?
Many of the animals that come through rescue have been used for breeding purposes for most of their lives already. We do include a NO BREEDING clause in our contract to insure that the animals adopted from Fabled Farm are no longer bred and contributing to overpopulation that lands many animals in rescue.
WHY DO YOU CHARGE AN ADOPTION FEE?
Our adoption fees help to cover some of the cost of the vetting and farrier care the animals receive upon arriving at the farm, as well as daily feed, supplements, tack, or any other needed supplies.
DO YOU ADOPT OUT OF STATE?
We are happy to work with adopters who live out of the area, but we do require adopters to travel to Christiana, TN to pick up the animal. We do not offer transporting services at this time.
WHY DO SOME ANIMALS STAY AS SANCTUARY ANIMALS?
Some of the animals that come through rescue need extensive medical care, training for behavioral issues, or are considered hospice cases. These animals remain as part of the Fabled Farm Sanctuary program and receive the specific needed care until they are adoptable, or they are deemed as sanctuary residents.
DO YOU ACCEPT DONATED SUPPLIES?
Yes! We are always in need of supplies for the animals and will happily schedule a time for gently used or new equipment, unopened bags of feed, minerals or supplements to be delivered to the farm.
DO YOU ACCEPT VOLUNTEERS?
We LOVE hardworking volunteers and rely on people who love animals to help us with grooming, daily care, and construction projects around the farm. Visit our VOLUNTEER PAGE for more information and to sign up!
DO YOU OFFER INTERNSHIPS?
Yes!! Please CONTACT US for more details...we can use you!
CAN WE TAKE A FARM TOUR?
We are a working rescue, so we are only able to offer farm tours with special events. Please check out our EVENT PAGE for upcoming opportunities!
